First Half

Stowmarket United get the game underway and immediately have a chance on goal that was just wide of the post and many more followed after with Connor Roberts lobbing the goalkeeper only for it to go over the bar. Chances then came for Holbrook Hornets but Chris Howell who makes his debut at Right back today is making sure they don't get near the goal. Holbrook have the ball on the right hand side of the pitch and make it into the box and hit it past Goalkeeper Nathan Farrant the Ipswich side are 1-0 up. A couple chances each before the referee blows for half time

Second Half

The second half starts and Holbrook have the momentum Stow once again go close with a couple of chances but not making them count. in the 61st minuite Holbrook manage to extend their lead after a goalmouth scramble and it looks like Stow are going to exit the county cup. Stow now knowing they needed to shift into another gear well and truly did so as just 12 minutes later the ball is with TJ Phair out on the left who gets passed 2 holbrook players and makes it into the box and is brought down and the referee points straight to the spot. Captain Robbie Dickinson has the ball and has the chance to get stowmarket back into the game. With no mistake Robbie smashes it home and Stow are now back into the game and one minute later Jamie Taylor has the ball out on the right and passes into goal scorer Robbie Dickinson who lobbs the keeper from yards out and gets stow back into the game at 2-2 it now looks like we could be on the way to penalties. Stowmarket playing some very good football getting the ball away from the box and into the oppositions. Bobby Musgrove has the ball out on the left and plays in a lovely ball that falls to Donnie Phair who volleys it in and gets Stow in front for the first time in this game. A crazy 6 minutes for Stow. Just when it looks like Stow have won the game Holbrook make it back level just 5 minutes later and means we are heading into a penalty shootout

Stowmarket win the shootout 4-2 and cement their name into the next round of the Sunday Trophy!
