Former captian Oliver Lester, has announced his retirement from football, concluding a remarkable career marked by dedication, leadership, and memorable performances.

Lester spent the last three years of his career at Stowmarket United, where he made 65 appearances and scored 4 goals. Known for his defensive prowess and commanding presence on the field, Lester quickly became a fan favorite and a pivotal figure in the club.

"I liked playing for you. Clubs got some good direction too, i hope it's around for years!" Lester said in his retirement announcement.

Lester joined Stowmarket United in 2021 after a leaving Bury Bowl. His experience and leadership were immediately evident, and he was named captain shortly after his arrival.
